Where aesthetic
education begins
Our philosophy
Led by Amanda Connolly, a leading industry expert in skin health and aesthetic business, Raw Canvas Institute is built on a foundation of clinical excellence, education, and intentional practice. With years of hands-on experience in advanced skin treatments and business strategy, Amanda has developed an approach that prioritizes safety, critical thinking, and long-term success.
Amanda is also the owner of Raw Canvas Skin + Wellness, a multidisciplinary medical aesthetics clinic, and leads a coaching and consulting practice supporting practitioners who are new to the industry or looking to grow with clarity and intention. This combined clinical and business perspective shapes the Institute’s approach to education, one that is practical, evidence-based, and rooted in real-world application.
We are committed to raising the standard of clinical practice through intentional training, evidence-informed protocols, and a deep respect for skin physiology. Our philosophy centres on empowering practitioners to make confident, informed decisions, refine their technique, and build sustainable careers with integrity.
Our courses
Raw Canvas Institute was created out of necessity.
After more than two decades working hands-on in advanced skin and laser medicine, and over ten years as a clinic owner and entrepreneur, one truth has become impossible to ignore. Too many graduates are leaving laser schools unprepared for real-world clinical practice. They know the terminology, but not the responsibility. They understand theory, but not execution. They are certified, yet still unsure.
Raw Canvas Institute exists to change that.
Foundational. Essential. Non-Negotiable.
The Laser Safety Officer course is the cornerstone of safe and ethical laser practice. This course is designed to instill a deep respect for laser technology and the responsibility that comes with operating Class IV medical devices.
Students will gain a thorough understanding of laser safety regulations, clinic protocols, and risk mitigation strategies in accordance with Canadian and British Columbia standards. Emphasis is placed on real-world application, ensuring graduates can confidently uphold safety standards within any medical aesthetic environment.
